Nice Guys Finish Last…in Business

The richest men in the world. Ever notice the super wealthy usually become philanthropists only after they’ve finished their career. Maybe that’s because they wouldn’t continue to be respected and feared if they started doling out the cash while they were still trying to make it….?

Generosity can be a sign of weakness for leaders, according to a new study from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Those who help others gain prestige but may be seen as submissive to those who strive to maximize their personal gains. Sounds pretty obvious. I would bet that the same thing applies, with caveats, to the dating world. Guys who are strong and cut-throat get the girl. Meanwhile, nice guys might have high prestige from their self sacrifice, but not respect – and definitely not the hot blooded lustful attentions of the pack’s women.
